Private swim lessons are conducted by Vienna Woods lifeguards and coordinated directly through the individual guard. Only employees of Vienna Woods may teach swim lessons onsite. Private lessons are for members only.

RATES

• $35/half hour (1 Child Private Lesson)
• $45/half hour (2 Children Semi-private Lesson)

Group Swim Lessons

We have scheduled three sessions of group lessons again this summer with each running for two-weeks. The sessions will run from Monday through Thursday (rain or holiday make-ups are on Fridays. Class start times are 9:30am and 10:15am and will last 30 minutes. There is a 1:5 instructor to participant ratio for classes. All children will be grouped according to their swimming ability into the following categories: Pre-beginner, Beginner, Advanced Beginner and Intermediate.

Non-members $100.00, members/renters $85.  Registration opens June 1st. Please register online or in person by check made payable to Vienna Woods. 

LEVELS
Pre-beginner
An introduction to swimming to foster confidence in the water. Children will acquire floating, kicking, gliding and back floating skills. Not recommended for children under 3. If your child is close to turning 3 and you would like to register, please speak to a manager.

Beginner
The child will gain confidence in the water. Floating (front and back), freestyle, and elementary backstroke will be emphasized.

Advanced Beginner
In this section the child will be given the opportunity to take and pass the “patch test”. Emphasis will be freestyle with rotary breathing, backstroke and treading water.

Intermediate
All the previous strokes will be refined, and the child will be introduced to breaststroke, butterfly and flip turns.
